About Us
What is eDistrict UP Seva?
eDistrict UP Seva is an independent information website created for the citizens of Uttar Pradesh. It has one simple purpose: to explain the services of the state government's eDistrict portal and the eSathi citizen login in language so plain that anyone — including a first-time internet user in a small village — can complete their work on their own, without paying an agent.
Dozens of services are now available online, from income, caste, domicile, birth and death certificates to a copy of the family register (parivar register nakal). But on the official portal, the process, the documents and the fee for each service are scattered across different screens. Applications often get rejected simply because a document was missing or uploaded in the wrong format — and many people end up paying a service centre far more than the actual fee. This guide exists to close that gap, in both Hindi and English.
What we publish
- Step-by-step application guides for every major certificate
- The fee for each service — both when you apply yourself on eSathi and when you apply through a CSC centre
- Document checklists and the correct way to upload them
- How to check your application status, download your certificate and verify it
- Common mistakes that cause rejections, and fixes for everyday problems such as OTP, login and payment issues
How our content is verified
Every guide on this website is written after cross-checking the information published on the official portal, edistrict.up.gov.in. Fees, timelines and rules are taken from that source. When a rule or fee changes, we update the affected guide, and every page carries a clear "last updated" date so you can see how fresh the information is.
What we are not
No application is accepted or processed on this website. Certificate applications can only be submitted on the official portal edistrict.up.gov.in (through the eSathi login) or at an authorised Common Service Centre (CSC). We cannot see your application, tell you its status, or issue any certificate.
Our belief is straightforward: if the right information is available in easy language, people will not need to make repeated trips to the tehsil or pay anyone extra money. If you spot outdated information or an error in any guide, please tell us through our contact page — we will verify it and correct the guide.
